To check what you booked for, click on the Register Now button. When the RegOnline window opens, enter your email address and click on Already Registered?.

Please do not make any changes now without first checking with the Conference Administrator.

Frequently-asked questions

How do I view or change my registration?

Please check with the conference administrator first to make sure you can make a change. The room bookings have already been handed over to the University Conference Centre. We may be able to make changes, but there is no guarantee. There can be no refunds after 1 September. Click here to view or change your registration (opens in a new window).

  1. Type in your email address and click 'Already Registered?'
  2. Type in your password. If you have forgotten it, I can send it to you.
    Click Continue.
  3. This takes you to a page where you can view or make changes to your registration.
    Click Finalise.
  4. Make payments as necessary.
  5. Click 'Finish your Registration'.

If you have changed anything, you will receive an 'Update Confirmation' in your email.

What happens when I click the big button above?

When you click the Register Now! button, a new window opens in your browser to display the online Registration form. There are six pages in the form:

  3. Booking options
  4. Souvenir items
  5. Checkout
  6. Confirmation

How do I pre-order T-shirts (£7.50) and Coffee Mugs (£4.50)?

Click here to update your registration (opens in a new window).

  1. Type in your email address and click 'Already Registered?'
  2. Type in your password. If you have forgotten it, I can send it to you.
    Click Continue.
  3. This takes you to a page where you can make changes to your registration.
    Click Finalise.
  4. This takes you to the 'Souvenir Items' page.
    Type the number of each item you want in the Quantity box.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click 'Finish your Registration'.

You will receive an 'Update Confirmation' in your email.

Can I just send you an email and ask you to reserve items for me?

Yes of course: click here to send an email to the Rural History 2010 Conference Administrator, telling me the sizes if you are ordering t-shirts. You can pay for the items at the conference.

I am giving a paper, or running or chairing a session: which registration type should I choose?

Speaker, Session chair, or Session convener.

What is it going to cost me?

Prices are shown in the price list at the bottom of this page.

I do not want to book accommodation or meals: what must I pay in addition to the registration fee?

You must pay £35 for each day you want to attend the conference. This includes all refreshments and lunch, and is the fee we have to pay the University Conference Centre for each person.

Are there any double rooms?

We are sorry but there are no double rooms on the campus. We will make sure your rooms are in the same apartment if you mention this in the 'special requirements' box on the 'Personal information' page.

How do I pay?

We accept credit and debit cards, UK cheques, and bank-to-bank transfer. Instructions are on the 'Checkout' page.

Why has my card been rejected?

The most likely cause is that your card is not authorised for online payments. Contact your card provider or bank.

What currency can I pay in?

We only accept GB Pounds. If you pay by bank-to-bank transfer, it is your responsibility to make sure that whatever currency your bank uses, we receive the correct sum in Pounds, because we cannot afford to lose money on conversion. If you can possibly pay by card, it is much easier.

Can I register now and book accommodation and so on later?

Yes. When you get to the 'Booking options' page, choose one of the 'Partial conference' options. Then continue to the next page without checking any of the boxes. See the next question for how you later change this booking.

How do I view, change or cancel my registration or booking options?

Click the Register Now! button above. Then, on the 'To get started' page, click Already Registered? Log in again, using the same email address and password.

Is there a cancellation charge?

The cancellation charges are in the Terms and Conditions that you must agree to on the 'Checkout' page.

Will I get a receipt?

When you have registered, you will get a confirmation email. Click Please review your registration details and make any changes. Click on Receipt on the right-hand side.

I no longer have my confirmation letter. How can I get a receipt?
